From the B5 magazine: While exploring a planet once devastated by a Drakh plague similar to one that threatens the Earth, an IPX technician is mysteriously killed. The man's body if neatly vivisected, sliced with the precision of a medical dissection. Other attacks follow, prompting Galen to send a holographic homunculus out as bait and the Technomage uncovers the desperate lengths one race went to stave off death. (Big thanks to Phil Lenton!)

From the B5 magazine: Matthew Gideon is the newly-commissioned captain of the Excalibur, a one of a kind ship that will carry the quest to save the Earth to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. But he hardly has time to meet his crew before he's called to recover a downed Drakh vessel which just may be one of the ships that poisoned Earth. Meanwhile, Interplanetary Expedition's Max Eilerson finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, as his archaeological find of a lifetime becomes the stage for a battle between the Excalibur crew and a band of grounded Drakh. This is the new series opener. It's an introductory episode that sets the story by bringing the characters together for the first time. Takes place about two-three days after the Drakh attack on Earth.
